Michael Galati, the only five-time World Challenge Champion, and Randy Pobst, 2003 SPEED GT Champion and two-time class winner in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, will drive two new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars for K-Pax Racing in 2007.

"Both Michael and Randy are as giddy as two kids in a candy store to be back in SPEED GT with two new Porsches and with 3R Racing doing the development and track side support,” K-PAX Team Owner Jim Haughey said.

Galati started five SPEED GT races in 2006 driving the Volvo S60R, finishing third in his first start of the season at Mid-Ohio and capturing Volvo"s first series-win at a rain soaked Mosport, where he nearly lapped the entire field.

Pobst drove in two SPEED GT races in 2006. “Our goal this year is to win the Manufacturers’ Championship for Porsche Motorsports,” Haughey said. “SPEED World Challenge is a very competitive series with strong teams and to do well we need competitive cars, good drivers, and an experienced crew. We’re lucky enough to have all three with the Porsche 911 GT3s, Michael, Randy and 3R Racing.”

Jim Haughey started K-PAX Racing after working with AtSpeed Motorsports in 2006. He has been in the retail repair side of the automotive business since 1974 and has owned and operated Scandia Auto Service for the past 18 years. He has long been a racing enthusiast and World Challenge fan.
